used this to place a small form ibm between monitor and arm vesa. Works well, you’ll need to adjust spring tension on arm but all good.

I bought this for my work from home setup. I am having to go into the office again and needed a way to access my laptop easier when I need to take it with me. This is replacing a vertical laptop stand I have been using but which is more difficult to remove the laptop from. I have this mounted to the pole I have for my monitor mount. This comes with the bracket and screws to either mount it directly to the pole or you can mount it as a VESA mount between the monitor and pole. This also comes with 3 rubber strips you can attach to the bracket to keep your computer safe. The instructions want you to cover up the screw holes but I ended up putting one on the bottom, one at an angle on one side and cut the other to stick to the other side. I did this to protect my laptop. It allows it to stay in there firmly but keeps it from being scratched. Like I said I am using this for a laptop. I believe my work laptop is a 15 inch laptop. I keep it closed and have a thunderbolt 3 dock hooked to it. This allows all ports to be accessible so I just slide it behind my monitor and connect the thunderbolt cable. Instant desk setup! I would completely recommend this for anyone using a VESA mount or a pole mount that wants to hold their computer. I can’t speak for the under desk mount but I would assume it works perfectly fine considering how this works. The fact it holds a laptop safely and securely is a bonus and it can be left loose enough to allow you to take it out when you need to.
