LINKSYS SE3008-CA 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch

Easy to install as a drop in replacement for a prior faulty product.

This switch is great but is not like the picture, the lights and connections are on the same side so it is not for a visible location in an office. It would be best in a backroom where you don't care about the mess of wires going into it being visible. It works great, Is easy to set up but lost a star due to not being what the picture shows.

I needed another switch for the upstairs and selected this Linksys model to pair with the Velop mesh router. Compared to my reliable Cisco router which is mostly plastic and dull, this looks elegant and more professional with it's all-metal and boxy design. Be aware that model SE3008 has two different designs - oddly enough despite the exact name and dimensions. One of them has the ports and lights up front, while the other one has the lights up front and the ports at the back. I like the latter as it gives a cleaner look. Make sure you know what you are getting. One star knocked because of the odd two existing design with the same name as well as pricing which is a tad too expensive. Other than that, highly recommend this router.
