I was just browsing and thinking about getting a TV when I ran across this little beauty. I had never seen a smart monitor before. After some research, price browsing and decision as to which color I chose this mint gteen little beauty. It is relatively light, as in weight, fully loaded enough for me to be able to have a variety of things to watch. It is a perfect size? Good price. The remote is the right siE and basic. I hate remotes with 50 buttons that you don't need. The picture is nice and clear. Hooked my blue ray up because I have a lot of DVD's without an issue. The only thing that is a bit of an I xoncekiwnce is that the TV doesn't auto-switch over when the disc starts playing. Otherwise love it and it was a great price.

I was going to go with the LG Stanbyme, but the price seemed too high, so I got this instead. I bought a stand with a heavy base and was able to do something similar to the Stanbyme, but at a fraction of the price. If you’re looking for an affordable option, especially one that comes in pink, this is perfect!

Perfect for working or for streaming. Easy to use. I recommend it.

If I was to score purely off picture quality alone, there'd be no question, this would be a 5 star product. But there are other things to consider. The built in speakers are... capable of making sound. But it's not a great sounding type of sound. Every preset sounds very off. Often hollow, and maybe even slight tinny. I found using the standard (do it yourself) preset and custom tuning the equalizers to be the best option. It's still not great sounding but it's a close approximation of what my last TV (an old Dynex) had. Now, with that said, the speakers are certainty serviceable enough that you won't have to immediately search for another sound solution. In all likelihood, I'll see how the sound holds up throughout various games and go from there. Right now just watching some stuff on PrimeVideo, the sound is good enough that you could easily do without an external speaker. I don't imagine other built in options on other monitors would fare much better. There's a noticeable menu lag when adjusting settings. And trying to setup the monitor using the LG app option was an exercise in futility. Eventually gave up and did it through the monitor. Which was fun typing out my 128 character wifi password. Can't seem to get the LG channels to work either. Just keeps saying it needs to update first but there's no update available. The monitor itself looks great. I went with beige rather than pay a premium for black and now that I've looked at it, I think I prefer the beige. And the beige is a very light, nearing white color. At least that's what I'd call it. As mentioned above, the screen quality is excellent. No pixel issues. Whether gaming or streaming, picture quality has blown my 14 year old 768p Dynex out of the water. Clarity, colors, contrast, everything, simply a great picture. I did try the HDR while streaming on my PC. Not a fan. Best guess is HDR stands for hurt dem retinas, far too bright and intense a picture. Though that may just be me. You can also control the monitor with the LG app. And that's a very good thing. The remote is a joke. Far, far too tiny and I simply can't use it without using two hands and carefully finger poking. Easily the worst remote I've come across. Though similar to a Fire cube remotely the feel is vastly different. The buttons on the Cube remote have definition and seem easy to use. This remote is far too flat and the wheel especially, just terrible. So how do you score a fantastic looking monitor that has average or slightly above average speakers, menu lag, and a terrible remote? Picture wise 5 stars. Sound maybe 3 or 3.5. Setup was frustrating with the app not working but on screen was fine, so maybe 2.5 stars. Remote is a 1, if that. But I knew speakers would be less than amazing, and picture quality really is the most important thing. Once you get through the sluggish menus to get things setup right, you don't need to use them much. And thankfully my tablet can act as a remote. Can't give it 5 stars with the sound being the biggest reason stopping that score. Overall, I think I'd call it a solid 4.25 stars, rounded down to show as 4.
