LG 24U631A-B 24" Class QHD LCD Monitor - Black - 24" Viewable - In-plane Switching (IPS) Technology - 2560 x 1440

Great budget-friendly 1440p monitor with good color quality perfect for my needs I wish there was a dedicated sRGB mode, in that case a calibration needed to get the best out of it. The USB-C port delivers enough power (15W) to charge my MacBook Air, so I get a clean single-cable setup for both display and charging. Just a heads up: the USB-C cable isn’t included, and the HDMI cable in the box only supports 1440p at 60Hz not 100Hz. Still, for the price on sale, it’s a solid buy. I thought I'd write a quick review because no one else has reviewed this model and it's brand new. I thought it had more than one HDMI because that's my fault for not reading the specs better (I had read specs for many monitors while narrowing it down). So it has just one HDMI, which is OK but it's nice to have a second option. The quality of this monitor is very good. I have one dead pixel, on the right side in the middle. It's definitely noticeable. There is another one on left side that's not quite as bad, I don't know why, the pixel isn't dead but it looks fuzzy. At this resolution I don't think it's a big issue but I'll see if I get used to it. Overall the quality and resolution are great and it works fine with my macbook pro. I get 60 Hz using my USB-C hub and if I plug HDMI direcct I get 100 Hz. I don't see much difference (I'm not playing games) so I just use the hub so I have less things to unplug when I want to take my macbook away from my desk. The height is another issue. I put two books under the stand to raise it 2" which seems much better. I wanted an adjustable stand but the only IPS with adjustable stand was a Samsung which was $50 more. For $50 I will cut a piece of wood and use that. The stand is 6x9" approximately, which I like better than the V shape. Overall I like the monitor so far but this is my first day using it. Update after 1 week: I'm really enjoying this monitor. I use it for my work so I'm using it a lot. It has a lot more space than a 27" and the quality is good. I do notice that with a black screen, there is light bleed in the corners but it's not noticeable while working. I think the text is very sharp. Update after 2 weeks: Still very pleased.

My main monitor is a LG 32” 4K 144hz which I got for around $700 a few years back. I know OLED is the lates and greatest but I needed IPS for the viewing angles and because I leave my PC on 24/7 and game for hours. It’s worked flawlessly so when I wanted to pick up a second monitor I decided to keep it to the LG line and this one is like a baby brother of my main monitor, just at 1440p. Colors look great after adjustment, no dead pixels, no extreme IPS glow. The only con is the round back design LG likes to do with their UltraGear line. You won’t be able to add a monitor bar with it. Also, the original stand has very limited adjustments, but if you’re using a third-party arm like me it’s not an issue. One other thing to note; when you remove the OEM stand, there’s a little mounting piece that kind of just sticks out from the back. Other than that, this is a quality monitor. Admittedly I haven’t done hardcore gaming on this since I’m using it as a second monitor but the quick testing I did was great. Definitely recommend this especially if you can grab it at around $200. Great value.

I purchased this monitor because it looked like it had good specs, and I really needed an upgrade. As I used it, it was everything I expected and more. For the price, you can't beat the 2k gaming quality that it allows you to play at. The monitor feels really high quality, allows me to play at 144 herts, and is a massive upgrade especially if you are still on 60 herts. You can change many things like the color, brightness, and so much more like putting a cross hair on the screen. If you are looking for something similar to this monitor or even considering getting this one, definitly do it.
