It is a good drive but takes time to wake it up. Slows down the computer when it wakes up from a longer sleep. I have to turn the drive away because the blue light is blinking constantly and very distracting.

Very happy with it, nice quiet drive with a good fast data transfer rate. It is a good size so it does not take up to much of my table space. It is super simple to get started just plug and play and it contains and all information you could possibly need on the drive.

É caro como qualquer capacidade de armazenamento que você tentar comprar. Mas vale quanto pesa. É rápido e funciona bem em Macs, não tem nem que formatar. Eu tinha um WD de 4TB antes, mas além de ter de formatar, depois de algum tempo começou a ficar ejetando aleatóriamente, pensei que era um problema do Mac OS, mas não era. De tanto ejetar, ficou danificado e tive que formatar e perdi todos os dados armazenados. Mesmo assim, não funcionou. Aí, depois de pesquisar muito, decidi comprar esse HD da LaCie e até aqui tem funcionado muito bem, muito rápido e estável. Se você trabalha com Macintosh, compre dessa marca. É plug&play, não precisa fazer nenhuma configuração e funciona muito bem.

It's a good drive, but it goes to sleep very quickly and when you try to access it, it takes a good 10-15 seconds for the drive to start spinning again. During that time, Finder (on mac) will simply freeze waiting for the drive to respond. It will also cause random freezes when using various apps (usually using any load / save function will hang the apps, waiting for the drive to spin up). Even had a webpage to freeze, waiting for the drive to spin. Once the drive is spinning, it's actually pretty fast for a HDD. But the spin up delay is a real bummer, and I'll probably use this drive for backups only due to that. Having this drive connected 100% of the time will cause significant slowdowns on your workflow. Otherwise, the drive do feel reliable and build quality is great.
