To put it simply, this is a good idea that's been poorly executed. The magnets at the top work, but the lower portion is not affixed and is not rigid enough to remain flat against the monitor. As such, the bottom portion lifts up and the lower 10-25% of the screen becomes very difficult to see.

I had one of these on my old Mac and I just loved it. Too bad it doesn't fit my new one. There is absolutely not privacy with this screen. When I swivel the computer all the way to 90 degrees it is the same as looking straight on. Very disappointing.

The attachment and alignment of this screen protector was perfect, it snapped into place easily, laid flat against the display, and was easy to take off. Unfortunately, the privacy aspect wasn't very well done. There was a weird polarizer glare when looking at the screen right on which was uncomfortable to the eye, particularly with the non-matte side facing out. In addition, the privacy protector has a very wide angle that it can be viewed at without blocking out text, and the screen protector actually fails to totally block out text at all and just distorts it instead.

The magnetic contact works really well. I've had filters from other main brands too but this is certainly the best one in terms of attachment, and quality too. It will affect brightness a bit but that's inevitable.

I tried other privacy screen protectors and liked this one best due to how it adheres to your screen both top and bottom + it's clarity if you use the non-matte shiny side. Yes, this side creates more glare but everything on the screen is clearer, crisper with almost no light degradation. The matte side, although it decreases glare, does cause everything on the screen to more fuzzy and darker, so you have to turn up the brightness which also drains your battery faster. A keeper for me.
