The cable is too stiff, makes it hard to fold, annoying to have in my bag, and harder to use. The prior model (which they no longer make) was better. I'm actually back to using the older cable.

Pay attention to compatibility I bought this cable to secure my new ASUS ROG STRIX G533ZW, but to my great surprise, my computer does not have a Kensington slot. I then said to myself that I could use it for my ASUS G75VW which did have a Kensington slot. But unfortunately, again the compatibility was not there. So before buying this cable or another Kensington in general, I recommend checking compatibility, even if the description says that it should be compatible with the brand of your laptop Very important to check the size of the slot

The lock is more to prevent it from misplacement, and does make is more difficult to steal but with a right tool it still can happen.

So far so good. Fitted my laptop nicely making it more secure when in a public place.

There are so many good reviews that I don't want to rip this product, but I can't get the damn thing in the slot of my Lenovo laptop. I know it can be done because my I.T. guy got it in and could turn it, but he had to work with it for a few minutes before he could get it to work. But for me, I've jiggled, wiggled, held my tongue just right and I have not been successful one time getting it in the slot and being able to turn the lock. So, it may be a great product for others, but is just too much of a hassle for me to try to get it inserted. 3 stars because I don't know if it's a good product or not. I will add this. I bought 2 of these at separate times and the key works in both cables. So, my guess is that every burglar in the world has the keys that go with the cables.
