Great quality and great price. Ignore those who say they're difficult to install, those people just don't understand basic electrical. As long as you have a neutral wire in your switch box, they will work for you. Amazon tries to hide Google integration from their listings, but this works with Google Home/Assistant
The Kasa Smart Dimmer Switch HS220 has been a game-changer! Its installation was a breeze, and the ability to connect seamlessly to HomeKit via homebridge was a pleasant surprise. No hub needed! This smart dimmer switch operates flawlessly, offering convenience and control over lighting. Its compatibility with HomeKit extends its functionality, providing a smooth and integrated smart home experience. For those seeking an easy-to-install smart dimmer switch with HomeKit integration, the Kasa Smart Dimmer Switch HS220 is an ideal choice. Its effortless setup and reliable performance make it a fantastic addition for upgrading any home to a smart ecosystem!
Installation was easy (but no instructions included in the box). Note: The device is pretty big so make sure you have enough room in your 1 gang box. I had to replace the one I had with a bigger one in order to fit all of the wires and device. Also, make sure you have a white wire in your existing circuit, otherwise it won’t work, and know which black wire is load and line. Since this is my 3rd Kasa device, I already had the app installed, so hooking up to my wifi was easy. Alexa automatically recognized it, so that was nice.
I’ve wired my house with both Kaza and Lutron Caseta light switches. The Lutron is the better product as it connects to both Google and Apple HomeKit and is superior quality/aesthetic wise. However, for the price difference and if you don’t need HomeKit, Kaza is the way to go. Kaza is a much better value and works for my purpose. My setup: - I have Google home products throughout my house (Hub, mini, thermostat, doorbell) and use “hey Google” to manually operate the lights. - I also use Google home for automations. - phone and table is Apple. - Lutron for all main lights (kitchen, main floor, master bedroom) and Kaza for all aux (bathrooms, bedrooms, fans, basement) Kaza quality is good, easy to install and set up. Also, no hub required, unlike the Lutron.
Great product, easy set up, easy to use, works great with Alexa
