Does work on macos.

Doesnt work on macos at all, even with parallels windows vm it doesn't work. Works with native win 10 laptop.

Raised price for prime day then lowered it.

Have not got it working yet.

Despite claimed Linux support, I am still seeing an authentication error trying to connect, when I don't even know what's authenticating. Online support directs you in circles but virtually no manuals available. Can't seem to update firmware unless client is connected.

Bad locales support.

Vert good crash cart replacment. If you work in US English, it will work well, but we have other locales in the shop here and it made this unusable with unrecognized keys or impossible to type characters, a show stopper for us. Works well from a Linux host controlling a Windows guest. Have not tried the other way around but I suspect it works equally well as it probably is the more usual use case.

I have a more expensive brand, but this is mostly as nice.

The pricier brand console cable works very well, and also provides the ability to do file transfers. I don't use the file transfer functionality much. So, I thought I'd give this a try when I decided I needed a second console cable. This one seems to work well, and I like that you don't need to have a client installed to use it since it has a firmware launcher built in (unlike the more expensive cable that you must download and install a utility.
