I've owned this KVM for 3 years now, everything was good with my older Macs, Windows and Linux machines. Then I changed to a MBP 2019, and most of the time the screen would not get detected properly. I finally found in the manual that it support a Monitor Re-detection feature. After enabling that it worked well with my 2019 MBP. It's not super fast at switching. It's not super easy to configure, you need to use keyboard combinaison. Once you figure out how to configure it properly for your setup it works well. It does support firmware updates, unlike an other review said. I also just discovered you can switch only the KVM, and keep audio and usb on an other computer, it's useful to continue listening to music when switching to an other machine.

I have a Macbook Pro M1 + a Gaming PC and a widescreen in the middle. Randomly, the screen turn off, I have to unplug the cable and plug it again to recover the main display. There is no firmware update, no support.... and it's expensive

This is the worst KVM ive owned. Its breaks nearly all functions of my mouse and keyboard. Unless you're just using a plain qwerty board dont buy. Your media keys wont work unless they're specifically included in some drivers. The updated drivers wont install and the service support wouldn't assist. The 4k does work well but occasionally one monitor will blink on and off and I have to reset it. Also only does 30hz. Definitely dont use this for video editing, playing or gaming.

You may need Active DP adapters to make this work properly, but once it is working it is fantastic. No issues with this.

This KVM switch comes with two USB 3 Hub ports. 1 in front and 1 in back. I've connected the back USB 3 port using a hub extension cable to a ViewSonic XG monitor. I have my camera, headset, and programmable keyboard connected using the XG monitor as an extension to the KVM USB hub. Programmable keyboards with dual interface cables will not work with this KVM but it appears so far that programmable mice will which is why I used the monitor to interface the keyboard. Front USB hub works well with removable drives For those having HDMI only video cards, you will need a USB powered HDMI to Game Port adapter on the PC side which are easy to find.
