I have written a long review about the Insta360 X3 and concluded that it is a nice novelty camera, with really interesting features and unique perspectives. However, I was likely not the right target audience - with its lack of resolution in higher zoomed images as well as the overhead in processing to get a "usable" video out. However, as also outlined in my initial review, Insta360's selection in accessories is really great. This sticky lens guard is no different - I would argue that it is of utmost importance to buy this one together with your X3. It is almost strange that Insta360 does not ship the camera with a pair of these protectors. The X3 is designed in such a way that it can capture all 360 degrees - thus the lenses are like fisheyes sticking out prominently. The original lenses are not replaceable (by the user), and almost every drop of the X3 will -as physics dictate in that design- result in one of the lenses hitting the ground as well. Having this lens protector is like having some kind of insurance against lens scratches. Lens scratches can range from a minor annoyance to a large burden where lights reflect oddly, or some blurry spots pop up. Larger lens scratches make the camera essentially unusable on that part of the sensor. The protector itself is easily attachable (follow the instructions for the proper alignment!). As long as you won't hit the protector very hard, likely you will never have to worry about the glass lens underneath. Replacing a scratched lens protector is as easy as peeling a (very strongly adhering) tape off - a small price to pay. Overall a great product, but I have to subtract one star for making the camera footprint a bit larger as well as for the overall design of the X3 that makes it a necessity - no replaceable lenses, and no in-build protection (i.e. a replaceable, integrated plastic protector, etc.) makes this item a solution for a problem that should not have been there in the first place.

These fit just right and are a must have for piece of mind. I can be a little bit more aggresive using my 360 with these on.
