Overall, this product lives up to its promises. For those aiming to seamlessly convert a 2.5-inch drive to a 3.5-inch format, it's a top-notch pick. I had plans to integrate these into a hot swappable bay. Size-wise, the converter is on par with conventional HDDs. However, I encountered a snag: my standard screws, which typically fit universally across HDD cases, weren't compatible with the ICY Dock caddy. While the package does include an alternative set of screws, they come with round heads, preventing a fully flush finish with the hot swap caddy. If you're inserting this into a neat space as hot swap bays often are, this might be a problem.

I got it and tested it. I find the plastic locker is not a good fit to the frame. So, there is a gap between the locker and the frame, and the locker cannot secure the M.2 SSD firmly. I have to return it.

Wcześniej do mojej kieszeni ICY BOX IB-158SK-B (IB-158SSK-B) kupiłem adapter ORICO 1125SS-BK-GL (ciesząc się że zaoszczędziłem). Niestety ORICO o mało nie uszkodził mi kieszeni - nie dało się domknąć jej drzwiczek przez prawdopodobnie krzywe gniazdo SATA. Na szczęście dałem szansę ICY Dock MB882SP-1S-3B. Szkoda, że kosztuje tak dużo (jak na adapter) ale trzeba uczciwie przyznać, że wykonanie tego ICY Dock jest znakomite.

I have 3 of these in my system right now. The most recent one is just under two years in there. The oldest one is nearly if not older than 10 years. They work splendidly. They're durable enough to change drives many times over their lifetime with out problems. These are easy to install, long lasting, and do the job exactly as you would want. While $20+ always feels a bit pricey, every time I've tried buying a cheaper alternative I've ended up regretting it. They end up breaking or are difficult to install or just not very reusable. Hopefully I'll never have to buy another simply because 3.5inch bays are becoming less common. But if I ever do need another adaptor this will be the one that I buy.
