This range was recommended to me as I have ethernet throughout my house, I have a ppoe switch and just have to plug in using Ethernet in whichever room I choose, the app is really easy to use and once setup everything just works!

Now changing to a work from home life I struggled previously to get a good connection experience in my house, particularly in further away locations from the hub where my desk setup is. I thought it was important to invest in a high quality solution to keep me productive and my video conference calls high quality. The AP11D from Aruba is super simple to setup. I have 2 in the house, one connected into my modem acting as a router and a second one the other side of the house, smart meshing off the first to expand coverage but keep the network the same, so no dropping off one network and reconnecting to the extension version like some extenders do. This was so easy to setup and I still get great speeds off the meshed access point. It is extremely rare if an AP goes down but what I do like is the automatic push notification I receive with advise on how to resolve. Having a family we did have challenges before with multiple users connected to the virgin hub. Not only does it handle lots of devices including smart home devices well but you have the ability to optimise for voice and video streaming and manage bandwidth per client or per network. This has helped massively with my conference calls whilst other users are on the network. I'd recommend this to everyone working from home and/or setting up a smart home, it truly is enterprise quality at an affordable price point.

Zuerst zum Produkt: Man merkt das hier mit Aruba ein Profi im Segment von Ubiquiti, TP Link und Co. ist. Die Hardware ist wertig, handelt es sich hier um bereits im Aruba Segment bestehende Entry Accespoints. Zum wesentlichen, für den Einsatz in kleinen Unternehmen, Homeoffice, Cafe und kleinen Hotels bestens geeignet. Gute Abdeckung, sehr stabiler Betrieb ohne viel Schnickschnack den niemand in diesem Segment benötigt. Einrichtung entweder Lokal (bei Switchen interessant) oder halt über die Cloud. Bei der lokalen Einrichtung gibt es bei den Switchen noch einige Funktionen mehr, ob dies benötigt wird muss man selber wissen. Der integrierte Switch im AP ist gerade für kleine Büros zu Hause perfekt. Lassen sich hier Drucker oder sonstige Geräte prima verbinden. Ein externes Gateway kann auch verwendet werden, interessant bei einigen VLAN Konfigurationen. Fazit: Wir kaufen zwar nicht hier sondern bei Bechtle, aber dass Produkt verdient Aufmerksamkeit. Wir haben damit unser Ubiquiti Entry Segment abgelöst und die Kunden sind begeistert. Anmerkung: Hier gibt es immer wieder wilde Berichte über Funkleistungen. Beton ist Beton und Wand ist Wand. Der kleine hier versorgt um die 70 qm Apartment, welches durch einmal Beton getrennt ist und 20 Geräte im WLAN. Für den Preis verbietet sich jede Kritik.
