The WP822 is a portable Wi-Fi IP phone designed to suit a variety of enterprises and vertical market applications, including retail, logistics, medical and security. This business-grade Wi-Fi phone comes equipped with integrated dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, an advanced antenna design and roaming support. By adding 8-hour talk time, HD voice with dual-MICs, and a configurable push-to-talk button, the WP822 comes equipped with a combination of features, mobility and durability to suit all portable telephony needs.

Das Mobilteil ist seinen Preis wert

Als IP-Telefon am Speedport Smart 4 installiert. Funktioniert zuverlässiger als alle "Speedphones" der DECT-Fraktion zusammen. ;-) Die Investition lohnt sich!

Grandstream und Fritzbox 6591

Das Telefon ist heute angekommen und ich musste es natürlich direkt hinter meiner 6591 Cable Box ausprobieren. Das Telefon macht einen guten Eindruck, auch die Klangqualität ist gut. Die Einrichtung war simpel, in der Fritzbox User und Passwort versehen im Telefon die IP Adresse des Router, User, Passwort und AuthID eingeben und schon läufts. Auf Deutsch überlagern sich im Menü schon mal Texte, das ist optisch unschön, aber bringt einen nicht um. Das sich das Telefon nicht mit einer Fritzbox verbinden läßt (je nach Firmware) stimmt für meine Firmware nicht, es funktioniert sehr gut. Es muss nun noch an einer 7490 funktionieren, dann bin ich zufrieden. Die installierte Firmware im 822 lautet: 1.0.11.40 in der Fritzbox ist die 7.57.

Gutes WiFi-SIP-Phone

Das Telefon macht einen guten eindruck. Die Menüführung ist einfach und das Gerät lässt sich auch auf Deutsch einstellen. Zur Konfiguration kann das Telefonmenü oder die Webschnittstelle verwendet werden. Die Sprachqualität ist bei richtiger Konfiguration sehr gut, da das Telefon alle gängigen Codecs unterstützt. Eine LDAP Anbindung zur Nutzung als Telefonbuch ist ebenfalls möglich. Selbst OpenVPN kann das Gerät. Insgesamt richtet sich das Telefon eher an fortgeschrittene und professionelle Nutzer, die nicht von Technischen Begriffen zurückschrecken und sich zutrauen Codecprioritäten/reihenfolgen festzulegen.

Schnell angekommen und schnell installiert. Die Verbindung funktioniert gut und die Klangqualität ist ebenfalls gut.

Funktioniert - Sprachqualität ist aber wie in den 80ern

Die gute Nachricht: das VoIP Telefon funktioniert. Und es ist auch ein ViOP Telefon. Die schlechte Nachricht: die Sprachqualität ist wie in den 80ern. Vielleicht mache ich auch etwas falsch, aber obwohl ich mich über das selbe Netz zum selben TAS verbinde, ist die Sprachqualität auf beiden Seiten unterirdisch. Wenn ich keine Idee bekomme, wie ich das Problem beheben kann, dann schicke ich das Telefon zurück. Für ein fehlgeschlagenes Experiment ist das Telefon einfach zu teuer.
