You can choose the best resolution to match your HDTV - 720p, 1080i, or 1080p. The GPX DH300B DVD player supports DVD, DVD+-R/RW formats as well as CD, CD-R/RW, and JPEG CDs. It supports 720p, 1080i, 1080p and aspect ratios of 16:9, 4:3LB, or 4.3PS. It is Dolby Digital Ready with the 2 channel stereo sound. Each drawer-load DVD player has outputs for HDMI, S-video, composite video, coaxial digital audio and RCA stereo audio. The multi-language on-screen display lets you adjust video and audio settings with the included full-function remote. Included in the box are the DVD player with a built-in AC power cable, remote control (requires 2 AAA batteries - not included), RCA audio/video cable, warranty card and a user's guide. Sometimes I just want to pop in a CD and watch something that I can't find on TV

Good basic player for the buck, but probles connecting through a switch box.I

If you connect directly to the back of the TV it works perfect. However if through a switch box for 4 devices, then it doesn't work. I tested this DVD player on the jacks that 2 other devises were already using and no luck. I used one of my better 3 wire cables and no luck. Even looked at the digital settings, some of which I know nothing about and no luck with that either. So a good basic player of music and video, but not happy with not being able to go though my switch box.

Good machine, great price, works fine

Since I still have an analog TV, I needed a DVD player w/the cables and this one works fine. The only drawback to this particular brand and model is that the machine doesn't keep where you left off when you put it on hold and turn it off -- like my other 2 different brands of DVD players did. Otherwise, it's fine.

Obsolete device

I paid $6 for this as "used-like new" from the Amazon warehouse. It came in the original packaging and is basically brand new. DVDs are basically VHS's at this point so I definitely didn't want to invest in a DVD player. This one is great, easy to set up and works as intended. Very happy with my purchase!
