Great Sound and Battery, But Gemini Needs Work

I've been using the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 for a few weeks, and overall, I'm very pleased with them. The sound quality is fantastic - clear and balanced, with a surprising amount of bass for such compact earbuds. The battery life is solid, easily lasting through the day with plenty of use. I also love how small and weightless they feel; they’re super comfortable, and I often forget I’m even wearing them. Audio switching is seamless between android devices. The case is compact, and the little sound it makes when it’s time to charge is a nice, subtle touch to remind me without being annoying. The noise cancellation is also remarkably good, especially for such a small device. While it’s just slightly less effective than the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds, it’s impressive how much noise it blocks out in different environments. And the transparency mode is fantastic - this is the first pair of earbuds I can comfortably leave in my ears while having a conversation. It’s clear and natural, making it genuinely useful for day-to-day interactions. However, the Gemini integration feels more like a gimmick at this stage. While it's nice not to have to unlock my phone every time I interact with it, the screen lighting up every single time seems unnecessary and defeats the "hands-free" purpose. It’s a feature with potential, but it needs refining to be genuinely useful. All in all, if you're looking for high-quality sound and strong battery life in a sleek, lightweight design, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are a great choice. Just don’t expect too much from Gemini until it gets an update.

poor design, lousy fit, odd changing position

The sound quality is good. Sadly they fit really poorly and will fall at the minor provocation making them barely usable, once you try to adjust them you activate a whatever sensor and makes noises or pauses your podcast or music. CRAPY FIT AND CRAPY DESIGN BEST TO BE AVOID I REGRET THE PURCHASE

Great sound quality

I have switched from Samsung since they changed to a stem design and I don't think I'll go back. The sound quality, noise cancelation and fit are A+. The small ear covers fit the best for me, and I love the lock in ear/twist design. I've worn them around the house for a couple hours and also to the gym and they are locked in place and going nowhere. When you first put them in and twist they squeak a bit which is a bit annoying but it only last like half a second then it will switch from normal to noise cancellation. You can still hear a bit of noise but it's not really noticeable, and once you take the buds out you realize how good it does at block out background noise. I love the swipe forward and backward to raise or lower the volume. There is also a dB detection while wearing to see how loud the music is in your ear to prevent hearing damage. You can also within the app change how the music sounds (more/less bass, clarity, vocal boost etc). I would advise to get a protective case for the buds as the original case is easily scratched/scuffed as seen in the picture. Overall these are really great earbuds and I would recommend.

They're pretty good. Well featured, compact, and comfortable.

First off, these are my first earbuds with ANC. I never tried any earbuds or headphones with ANC, so I don't have a true reference to base it upon. My first impressions upon trying them on and enabling ANC or Transparency mode blew me away and I was smiling. It felt like I gained a supernatural perk, especially in transparency mode because I could now casually listen to music in the background privately, be aware of my surroundings, and carry on with conversations normally without taking them out unlike regular headphones or earbuds (especially closed-back ones). The transparency mode sounds pretty natural, but the volume seems a tiny bit louder than my normal hearing. ANC works pretty well, it filters any low to mid levels of sounds, but high pitch sounds, not really. Like a water tap running for example. But I heard that's expected as of today's technology. I also want to mention that with ANC on, I could listen to my music comfortably at lower levels than regular earbuds normally. For listening to music, they sound pretty good. Good for casual listening, not critical. These aren't comparable to some of the audiophile-esque gear I have which captures every crisp detail certain songs deliver. Though, with that, given bluetooth audio codecs provided, AAC and SBC, are fine for casual listening. It's not like LDAC levels of quality, even though if it did, that would be really cool, but I would imagine it would affect the battery life of the buds if it did. The Pixel Buds app paired with it has EQ adjustments and presets is good. On a tangent, the app layout looks weird with the 5 horizontal EQ sliders, it would be better vertically. Additional features such as Find My Device included with the unit are rather handy and really helps if I lose them. The alert noises when activated are quite audible and easy to locate. I like it. For the physical aspects of the unit itself, the included eartips are nice, you get 4 sizes. There's no charging cable included. I find the fit of the earbuds comfortable with my chosen size of eartip, and the "wing" stabilizer keeps the earbuds locked in when I do the insert and twist. I'm surprised when I try shaking my head, jump, or any aggressive movements they completely stay on, locked in, without adjustment needed. I think Google did a really great job of designing that feature with the wing stabilizer thing. Overall, I think these are quite nice, I would recommend these for anyone looking for some earbuds with ANC and Transparency modes to use along their everyday lives.

They don't cut all noises and glitch

I bought these because I have a migraine disorder and so noise cancellation is huge for me. These cancel 75% of noises and are pretty good compared to the bose quiet comfort or buds pro before them. I can however still hear my hudband on his phone watching youtube beside me at a normal volume so they won't cancel everything and for what they cost I was sure hoping they would... I also use them everyday for work and they're brilliant in being connected and switching between both work calls and video telehealth at the same time. They pause shows when you talk and that can be both nice and annoying. Nice when someone comes in to talks to you and it auto pauses. Annoying if you enjoy chatting during watching a show together lol. All in all they're decent. They have started cutting sound in and out. And are a tad glitchy.
