Good value for money.

I have bought this item before but not from Amazon. I have EDS and this helps with sore wrists and hands.

I LOVE this thing.

Executive summary: If you are reading this, buy one of these. Your quest for keyboard nirvana may never end, but you can certainly be happy using this keyboard while you dream of making your own custom job from scratch with a hand-full of Cherry keys and a 3D printer - with each key in the unique, optimum position for each of your personal fingers. I have had this keyboard for several months, and it has been wonderful for me. It is sturdy, has good "heft" and it does what it is expected to do -- it allows me to type quickly and comfortably for hours at a time. Sometimes I spend more than 10 hours in a single session creating documents, entering commands, and otherwise using the keyboard and mouse for more than 50% of the time that I am at the computer. I have no shoulder strain when I am using this keyboard, my arms and fingers are comfortable, and my typing is more accurate because my fingers line up with the keys. The best feature is the main feature, you can "fold" the keyboard into a "tent" configuration and type without holding your arms like a preying mantis -- finally, you can admit that your shoulders are more than 12" apart. I am a fast touch typist, and this keyboard has no problem keeping up with me. The comfortable angle reduces my error rate because I am am not holding my hands and arms in unnatural positions for hours at a time. The last time I took a laptop on a working vacation, I brought this keyboard along because it is so superior to the small, flat keyboard on the laptop. It is longer than my laptop is wide, but I managed to squeeze it into my computer backpack. (Note, flattening the keyboard for transport is the only time I have touched the angle adjusting / locking mechanism in months.) One minor, but wonderful, feature is that there is a delete key on the left side. Why is this wonderful? Because sometimes I find myself repeatedly pointing at something using the mouse in my right hand and then deleting it with my left hand. Scanning emails and deleting unnecessary files out of a directory both make me smile when I hit the left side delete key. It seems unimportant until you use it. The locking mechanism is very sturdy and holds. The lock does what a lock is expected to do. It locks. It stays locked. Once I got my "tent" properly adjusted, I locked it and never had to reposition it because of lock slip. "It just don't slip. " For my particular work space, the desk height and chair height are such that the keyboard feels better when I put a non-slip something about 1/2" thick under the right rear corner of the keyboard so that it tilts toward me a bit more. The keyboard is heavy enough (and the lock is rigid enough) that I have never had any need or desire to put something under the left rear corner as well. I bought a "split" keyboard at the same time I purchased this one, because I was not sure which would work best for me. The "split" keyboard is in a box somewhere in the basement, and this is the one that I use all the time. At the same time I got this, I also purchases a Sharkk Basics Model SK137U mouse. It looks like a shark fin. That thing is also awesome. My right hand no longer cramps from clutching a normal "flat" mouse with contorted fingers. The Sharkk mouse allows me to admit that at rest my wrist is about half way between horizontal and vertical. It doesn't force me to rotate my arm 45 degrees to get my fingers onto the mouse. I also took this along on my working vacation with a laptop. The travel mouse is small, but not small enough that I was willing to leave my Sharkk at home. Actually, now that I am writing this, I think I am going to get another one of these keyboards and another Sharkk mouse just for travel. P.S. Your mileage may vary, but I love this keyboard. Note: I have never had trouble with carpal tunnel syndrome, so I don't know how this keyboard might interact that problem. P.P.S. This is the first long on-line review that I have ever written.

Reduced wrist pain

Better wrist position definitely reduced pain. Could be improved: it’s a bit bulky and the keys are mushy. Would have preferred the Canadian multilingual layout (CSA) to use on a Mac but it’s not available.

Perfect for RSI sufferers

Fantastic keyboard. I already had a similar (but older version) at home and purchased this one for my office. Allows typing in a more natural wrist position thereby preventing (or assisting in the recovery of) RSI related issues in the wrists.

Amazing

I got this keyboard in the middle of writing my Bachelor's Thesis at a stage were I was in lot of tendinosis pain and could only write a few hours a day and had to sometimes take whole weeks off. I pretty much immediately could write as much as I wanted. I still feel pain, but it is tolerable. I am almost not hand pain limited at all anymore. This is mainly due to the low actuation force, it is like typing on a butter. The keyboard is totally worth 150€. The hassle free mac compatibility is great. I have so far not used the split functionality, I will try to update this review once I do.
