Supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode for Unidirectional 80 Gbps Video Connections

By connecting a 4K or 8K display to a host device that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode 2.1, this cable can use both high-speed lanes to transmit 4K or even 8K video at 60 Hz in one direction at 80 Gbps maximum speed with 30-bit Deep Color, HDR and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. Connected to a host that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode 1.4, the U521-1P2M-BK can transmit 8K at 30 Hz.

Backward Compatible with Legacy USB and Thunderbolt 3 Devices

Though both connected devices must support USB4 40Gbps for the cable to reach its full potential, the U521-1P2M-BK is backward compatible with USB 3.x, USB 2.0 and Thunderbolt 3 devices. It connects two USB-C devices, including MacBooks, Chromebooks, Windows laptops, Kindles, game consoles, smartphones, external hard drives, docking stations and wall chargers.
