The dxs-1210 series is the latest generation of D-Link 10-Gigabit web Smart switches featuring D-Link Green 3. 0 technology. The switches support 10-Gigabit over copper or fiber, and comply with the IEEE 802. 3az Energy Efficient Ethernet standard. Support for IPv6 management and configuration features ensures your network remains protected after an upgrade from IPv4 to IPv6. By offering multiple management options, these switches allow quick deployment, infrastructure expansion, and seamless upgrades. Targeting small and medium sized businesses, The dxs-1210 web Smart 10-Gigabit switches provide functionality, security, and manageability for a fraction of the standard cost of ownership. Equipped with a complete lineup of L2 features, these switches include IGMP Snooping, port mirroring, Spanning Tree, and link aggregation control Protocol (LACP). D-Link innovative safeguard engine protects the switches against traffic flooding caused by virus attacks. The switches also support 802. 1x port-based authentication, allowing the network clients to be authenticated through external radius servers. In addition, the access control List (ACL) feature enhances network security and protects the network by screening traffic from illegal Mac or IP addresses. Arp Spoofing prevention prevents malicious intruders from sending massive fake ARP messages through a manipulated source. For added security, The DHCP server screening feature blocks rogue DHCP server packets from user ports to prevent unauthorized IP assignment. The DXS-1210-12SC supports 10 10-Gigabit SFP+ Optical ports, and 2 Combo 10GBase-T/SFP+ ports. The DXS-1210-12SC carries a limited lifetime , furthering D-Link commitment to product quality and long term customer Confidence.

Awesomeish

I ordered this after returning the Ubiquiti es-16-xg switch. This thing is awesome. I use it for my home server and it is not loud besides boot up. The fan is full speed for 15 seconds while it boots then it is silent. Update-- it worked great, even had 20gb link aggregation, but the lag/delay was horrible. Might be fine for large throughput but it added 20ms+ to all devices on the switch(and that was with all fiber connections) I could not figure out why and its the only switch that has done it.

I had this for a few weeks but returned it. It was almost double the cost of the Ubiquiti ES-16-XG and had less features.

Was very hopeful for this product in the context of my 10Gbps fiber to the home internet subscription. Unfortunately this switch is as noisy as a jet engine and therefore unusable for a home switch.
