I wanted a portable yet robust external SSD drive that doesn't tank to double digits speeds when transferring big files. The best option, in my opinion, seem to be a high end NVMe in an enclosure. However, NVMes traditionally run hot and it was a failed attempt with the Samsung 970 Evo Plus as well as the WD SN850X, both of which idle between 40 and 50 degrees in an enclosure and roast at around 70C when pushed! Enter the Crucial T500 PRO. It maxes out my 10Gbps USB-C port speed and yielded a perfect 1000MB/s sequential read and write speed. It sustains excellent speeds even with files as big as 200GB without dipping. Even when all caching is exhausted, speed remain in the hundreds! Truly an amazing performer. What is crazy is that even in my cheap enclosure without proper cooling, this SSD idles at room temperature of 24C and maxes out at 50C on file transfers. I believe this is attributed to a combination of the new 232 Layer 3D TLC NAND + the new Phison E25 controller. Overall, I'm over the moon with this SSD. It's fast and cool, and it is affordable when compared to other premium SSDs. Highly recommended!

Ist in einem Intel NUC 13. Gen. mit i3 und ohne vPro verbaut worden. Geschwindigkeiten kommen hin, Thermik ist überraschend gut, Preis ist spitze, ganz klare Kaufempfehlung! Wenn Crucial jetzt noch ein ähnlich schönes Tool wie den "Samsung Magician" herausbringt, wechsle ich vielleicht komplett rüber... ;-)

Wurde für meine PS5 gekauft und darin verbaut. Einbau geht schnell und unkompliziert auch für Leihen. Leider war die SSD der 1. Lieferung anscheinend defekt und wurde somit nicht von der Konsole erkannt (sollte nicht passieren, aber kann mal vorkommen - keiner ist perfekt). Produkt unkompliziert reklamiert Dank Amazon und eine schnelle Ersatzlieferung 2 Tage später erhalten, welche auch funktioniert. Bin Zufrieden und kann Sie daher auch weiter empfehlen.

At the time of writing this review, this Crucial Brand 2TB nvme costs $299.49. This nvme is another great, high quality product from crucial. Nvmes have really come down in price since I got my first one. While $300 is a bit much, 2tb of lightning fast memory is also a lot. The speeds on this are phenomenal. Playing games with my 3090 and this nvme is wild. There's almost no loading times on even the most intense games. Minecraft Legends - 6 seconds to load world Minecraft - 11 seconds to load new seed Ghost recon wildlands - 11 seconds to load world Grand theft auto 5 - 30 second initial world load The read/write speeds are some of the best I've ever seen for hard drives. This hard drive has a typical look and form factor, so there's nothing fancy about it. It does not have a heat sink, but my FLiR camera shows it only getting to around 42C with just a small fan actively cooling it, while loading GTA 5 and Wildlands. Very happy with this hard drive and would recommend it to any gamers.
