I wanted a portable yet robust external SSD drive that doesn't tank to double digits speeds when transferring big files. The best option, in my opinion, seem to be a high end NVMe in an enclosure. However, NVMes traditionally run hot and it was a failed attempt with the Samsung 970 Evo Plus as well as the WD SN850X, both of which idle between 40 and 50 degrees in an enclosure and roast at around 70C when pushed! Enter the Crucial T500 PRO. It maxes out my 10Gbps USB-C port speed and yielded a perfect 1000MB/s sequential read and write speed. It sustains excellent speeds even with files as big as 200GB without dipping. Even when all caching is exhausted, speed remain in the hundreds! Truly an amazing performer. What is crazy is that even in my cheap enclosure without proper cooling, this SSD idles at room temperature of 24C and maxes out at 50C on file transfers. I believe this is attributed to a combination of the new 232 Layer 3D TLC NAND + the new Phison E25 controller. Overall, I'm over the moon with this SSD. It's fast and cool, and it is affordable when compared to other premium SSDs. Highly recommended!

...vor allem, weil es aus der 990 Pro Serie von Samsung keine 250- und 500GB-Varianten mehr gibt, die für einen Thin-Client oder Small-Client bzw. einen einfachen Office-Multimedia-PC vollkommen ausreichen, wenn eh primär auf einem Terminalserver und/oder mit einem zentralen Datenspeicher (Server/NAS) gearbeitet wird. Ist in einem Intel NUC 13. Gen. mit i3 und ohne vPro verbaut worden. Geschwindigkeiten kommen hin, Thermik ist überraschend gut, Preis ist spitze, ganz klare Kaufempfehlung! Wenn Crucial jetzt noch ein ähnlich schönes Tool wie den "Samsung Magician" herausbringt, wechsle ich vielleicht komplett rüber... ;-)

Blazing fast! Took over the number one spot in average benchmark on ssd userbenchmark! The system does not read the drive as Crucial T500, but it reads as Nvme CT2000T50 2TB. This makes it a little more difficult to find on the website. This Crucial T500 benchmarked 605% in my laptop with an I-7 12700H. This outperforms my 2 TB Samsung 990 Pro w/ heatsink in my desktop that has an I-7 13700F by about 90%. I might be purchasing the heatsink version for my desktop to replace the 990 Pro. This new T500 seems to have gotten rid of the lag that my laptop had with the original WD drive. Buy the T500, it is a great deal!

Wurde für meine PS5 gekauft und darin verbaut. Einbau geht schnell und unkompliziert auch für Leihen. Leider war die SSD der 1. Lieferung anscheinend defekt und wurde somit nicht von der Konsole erkannt (sollte nicht passieren, aber kann mal vorkommen - keiner ist perfekt). Produkt unkompliziert reklamiert Dank Amazon und eine schnelle Ersatzlieferung 2 Tage später erhalten, welche auch funktioniert. Bin Zufrieden und kann Sie daher auch weiter empfehlen.
