I needed a external sound card that worked usb to force my Mac mini m2 pro to understand a true 5.1 surround sound system for composing and editing 5.1 surround sound only thing that worked.

A good, high-quality sound card, substantial in feel and exuding a premium vibe. The form factor is definitely better than the G6. It stays perfectly stable on the table, unlike the G6. The volume control wheel is convenient, and the scrolling is pleasant. Its external appearance is excellent and looks fantastic on the desk with beautiful lighting. In terms of sound quality, I couldn't notice any significant difference compared to the built-in Realtek sound and the sound from the Cloud Alpha S remote, no matter how hard I tried. I wasn't satisfied with the software; it's very sluggish on my Lenovo Flex 2-14 laptop. Sound Blaster Command on the SB G6 was much better. Given this, I think it's better to go with the X3, which works through the same software as the G6. Perhaps it's not a coincidence that it's slightly more expensive

ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!!! I usually don't write many reviews. I have been a fan of Creative Labs products for a long time. If you think the built in sound is all you need. Then you need to get your ears checked. This thing is amazing, it lite up the sound on my Mac Mini M1. It was so easy to install, just like everything is with a MAC and Creative. All I can say is this is a purchase well worth it. I love the built in EQ, really brings out the sound paired with my creative speakers and subwoofer. The software works great and is solid even on the newest update of the MAC OS SONOMA 14.0. LOVE THIS THING. Well done Creative!!!

I wasn’t hesitant to buy it because I’ve seen mixed reviews for products like this. I have a big desk so the computer is in the corner and my headphone cable is not long enough. My other problem was I have speakers (5.1) but my pc is liquid cooled and didn’t have room for a sound card. So I got this for those two needs. And it works exceptionally. It knows when the headphones are plugged in/ when they’re not so sound levels adjust by themselves. Also controls on the unit are useful. I haven’t used the software too much but it works and doesn’t give me problems. Overall I’m satisfied with the purchase.

Cascos Sennheiser HD560S. Placa MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk con ALC897 (el codec ya tiene unos años). Que queréis que os diga, no noto la diferencia en la calidad de sonido, cambiando entre el X4 y la placa, ajustando el volumen para que esté al mismo nivel, y nada. Como mucho (y se lo atribuyo más bien a un efecto placebo) las frecuencias mas altas suenan mas suaves en el X4, pero la diferencia es tan mínima, si realmente la hay, que no merece la pena el tener más cables de por medio. Supongo que mi placa tiene una buena implementación del codec de audio, a pesar de ser algo antiguo, y por eso no escucho diferencia. Si lo queréis para tenerlo al lado del teclado y controlar el volumen o cambiar entre inputs, entonces lo puedo recomendar. Además desde el software de creative se puede escoger que alimente cascos de impedancia alta (>150 ohms). El efecto sorround del SXFI es un poco extraño, parece imitar la sensación de que estuvieras escuchando altavoces en una habitación, pero en una habitación con mala acústica, donde hay cierta reverberación. Lo he probado tanto con pelis como con videojuegos, el efecto está curioso y tiene su encanto pero no es algo que utilizaría de manera normal.
