Creative Muvo Go (Green)

We got this for our boat, and it's perfect for when hanging out by the water and when you want to avoid running the boat's batteries. It has good, not great sound and battery life thus far has not been anywhere close to 18 hours. At max volume, I was not impressed with the sound, but at 75% volume, it did a decent job. For $80, I am on the fence, it seems like a solid product, but time will be the true indicator of whether this is a solid buy or not. I will take it out with me a during a few trips I have coming-up and will report back if I come across any issues, for now, its 5 stars.

This is a nice BT speaker for both indoor spaces and outside. I have always been impressed with Creative products and they do not disappoint here. Whether we are out by the pool or in any room of the house the sound from the Muvo Go is crisp and clear. If you are a higher-level audiophile, you can even pair two Muvo Go's together for an even better experience. I have not done this, since the sound is pretty awesome with one. Just wanted to make others aware of the functionality. Form factor is very similar to the competition; however, I did like the feel of the Muvo. It just fit in my hand with a tether for a strong hold. It would be my choice in this price range. I did give it a quick dunk in water, and it came out sounding great. That being said, I would have like to have the USB-C port "plugged" with a plastic stopper to ensure no water is able to get into the port and fry the speaker. From experience, I'm confident Creative has addressed this in another fashion. Just my own insecurity with previous issues around power connectors and water. As far as what came in the box, what you see is what you get, there is a USB-C connector, an instruction booklet and the BT speaker. Nothing else needed, however it would have been nice if the USB-C connector had come with a wall socket connector, also. Small thing, but if you didn't have it, you would have to connect to a computer to charge. Battery life seemed well within the 18hr range they said it would do. I ran it overnight and it was still going strong the next morning. Unfortunately, the powerful battery cannot be used to charge an external device, but I normally have other charging packs laying around to do that, if needed. Overall, I'm impressed with this little speaker. I think it will serve as a great option in many situations where you want to take music on the go.

The sound was better than I expected. To get the best highs, you have to have it facing you with power button on the back. The Treble goes down a little when the top is facing you. This speaker has some good bass coming from the side speakers. You can see it thumping. The voice recording to connect the speaker to Bluetooth is of low quality recording. Was a little concern if that’s the quality of the sound but it wasn’t. I love the sound. I played it while I was taking a shower and was pleasantly surprised. It was fun to have a loud speaker playing while I shower. The speaker construction is very nice and feels high quality. Update: Well, I have used this for awhile and just love it. I use it almost every time in the shower. I then discovered something. Not sure if it was built with this feature. When laying flat on the table, you can tilt the speaker back so that the tweeters are facing you, and it will stay. Now the treble has a much better sound.

The Creative Muvo Go Bluetooth portable speaker is semi compact and offers a very nice clear audio performance. The Muvo Go is easy to setup as it just needs you to turn it on and pair it to your phone's Bluetooth connection. Once paired any sounds from your phone is transmitted to the speaker with no discernable lag or delay. I started playing a range of music from Spotify and Tidal and found that when playing Jazz, Classical and other instrumental music with highs and mids the speaker performed superbly with a very clear tight audio. Playing Pop songs and other vocal music with a varying mix of highs, mids and lows I found that the weakness of the small speaker started to show as the mids and lows couldn't compensate witht he lower frequencies of the songs. This was very apparent when I started playing bass heavy hip-hop, rap, dance, and other electronica type music. The bass sounded very muddied and didn't have any depth or oomph to it. I searched to see if maybe I can compensate for the lack of lows and found that there is no settings available for sound output other than volume control. You could use an external app like PowerAmp to mix the equalizer levels to your desired output. Volume output on this speaker is actually very good and when maxed out it really outputs very loudly. I didn't hear much of any distortion when I played music in the upper volume levels. The speaker outputs at a max peak of 40 watt which is plenty powerful for a decent sized room or outdoor area without disturbing others. The Creative Muvo go portable speaker is built quite well and has a hefty weight to it and feels quite sturdy. I'm sure if I dropped it, it would do just fine and still work. The speaker is rated for IPX7 waterproofing which is nice for taking to the pool, beach or through a hike near lakes, rivers or streams. One of the optional features that makes the Muvo Go special is its ability to pair a second Muvo Go speaker to have Stereo output. Overall the Creative Muvo Go portable Bluetooth speaker is a good buy if your music is not bass heavy or has lots of lows. The audio performance of the speaker is amazingly clear and tight with its Neodymium magnet drivers. With it's 18 hour operating capacity, waterproofing, and compact size the Creative Muvi Go speaker is an ideal option for those who want good sounds, able to carry or stash anywhere and rugged enough for outdoor and indoor activities, pair it with another Muvi Go for wireless Stereo and you have a great pair of speakers for your personal enjoyment, party or social gathering.
