I've stuck with the Cooler Master Hyper series for the last 10 years and the 212 is no exception for quality and cooling. Comes with 1 giant fan, thermal paste (in a tube, not pre-applied) and mounting tools for just about every socket available. I'm using this on an AM5 socket. Installation took less than 5 minutes and was as simple as you can get.

The instructions, mounting hardware, and thermal paste are of very low quality. Ive been building PCs regularly since 2004 and have had very little issue installing any hardware, but this one true was a headache.The reason I grabbed this product is because Ive had to send in my AIO cooler for replacement. To make the heatsink usuable I actually had to use hardware from previous builds to ensure the cooler was making proper contact with my CPU, because initially it couldn't cool my CPU any lower than 85C. I followed all the instructions to the T, and even watched videos of others installing this product to ensure I wasnt making a mistake. After using my own hardware the cooler is keeping my CPU temp around 45 under load. This is great! BUT it required me to use use only hardware that was not included. The heatsink is the only piece of hardware that Im using from the package I was sent. Im not sure if I was sent a previously returned model, but this product did not work as it claims to and caused me quite a headache.

The Hyper 212 series has been a staple cooler for a long time, and this version is slightly noisier than my old one, but I'm more than happy to make that trade off for the nice RGB fan. The mounting was fast and easy, but there is a small screw that I dropped and wasn't able to assemble the bracket until I found it. Cooling performance on my Ryzen 7 7700x has been good even with the included thermal paste.
