Compulocks Ledge Lock Adapter and Combination Cable Lock for MacBook Pro 14" M1 & M2

The instructions require you to hold in a button on the bottom of the head while changing the combination. Apparently I must have inadvertently released that button while trying to turn the dials since after changing the combination, neither the default combination nor the new one I set works. I tried twice (returned the first unit and tried again on a second unit with the same problem). I eventually got the unit to work - work through hundreds of combinations until I figured out what it had been set to and then had someone else help me to reset it. Even after that, I had to manually realign the mechanism to get it to operate correctly. I'm keeping the unit since I prefer it to the keyed option, but I will also be carrying the screwdriver with me in case I ever can't get it to unlock. You can remove the lock from the device simply by unscrewing it, but it does appear to be a special screwdriver.
