In general, this is a good package. The instructions are decent (make sure to read them or you'll do a dummy like me and glue your camera to the wrong spot). I initially mounted mine in the wrong spot for two reasons. First, the dots on the windshield were covering the right 1/4 of the screen and second, I was unable to plug the rear-view cable in because of how close it was to the mirror. But after gently yet aggressively prying, I was able to move the unit over about 1 inch. The camera itself feels nice and rugged. The included cabling was able to reach all the way to my center console where my power plug was. The rear view camera had plenty of extra cable to reach the back of my truck. I tucked away about an extra 5 feet of cable. The unit powered on immediately upon first key-on and walked me through basic set-up instructions. The controls are odd, but I've come to like them. You don't touch the screen like you'd think, you hit the little touch sensitive dots under the screen. I kind of like that so it keeps the screen clean. After setting it up to my liking (I never did get the wi-fi hotspot to work), it asked me to install the app which had I read the instructions is a big part of the unit's function. I'll be honest, the app is the weak part of this unit and I feel I'm putting that nicely. First off, I have never seen any of my apps ask for so many permissions. Not only that, but they openly say that they will take and use the information provided. It was so bad that my phone complained about it repeatedly. Specifically, the phone said that it was unusual to have an app running monitoring your info while not in use. It also complained about how much extra power the app was using. Now, if this app was a godsend, I could see allowing this, but honestly, after using it for a week straight, I didn't find enough benefit to the app to want to keep it installed. I should mention that you are absolutely required to allow the app to run at all times and have full permissions for it to even work. Otherwise, you can't do anything at all in it. In the end, I fully uninstalled the app because the features didn't outweigh the negatives. I should also note that it kind of takes over Google maps and did a poor job of it. In the end, I could do all I want without the app. I might try it again in a year or so to see if there are any improvements, but I can see that people have been complaining about it for a couple years already with the same issues that I had. In the end, I do like the camera itself. The video is nice and clear, it's easy to record events if needed (though I don't like how the clips are divided up into short bits). I wish both the front and rear cameras had a bit of side-to-side motion as well. With the way that my windshield is curved and since I couldn't mount it directly in the middle, the camera has a great view of the driver's side, but the passenger side is stunted. The rear camera is actually one of my favorite parts of this package. I've set it up to continuously display it. It's like an extra wide rear-view mirror. It's also great because in my truck, I have a 5th wheel mount and it gives me a great view while aligning the ball.

The media could not be loaded. So I got this dash cam because I liked the looks of it and Cobra is a brand I am familiar with. The package is very complete. Comes with various installation options and lots of extras, zip ties, cable mounts, extra 3M tape, even temporary static mounts to help you line things up (sorry forgot to get a pic of the package and accs). Comes with a 12v plug, rearview camera, all cables and accessories, including a 32gb card. Installation in my Honda Odyssey was simple and neat. I got a hard wired USB adapter and powered it from courtesy light. The cable for the rear camera was plenty long. There was about 2' extra in a minivan with a pretty long run. Powered right up and recognized rear camera immediately. I haven't really played with the app much since I am just going to use it as a dash cam and don't need all the bells and whistles the app provides. I did use the app to finish setup though. Note if you want to use your phone as the hotspot it uses you need to enter the Wifi name and password manually. App seems relatively well thought out as far as these things go. A bit bloated if all you need is a simple dash cam. Was easy to access files and upload them to phone. There’s a lot of function in the app and I will update if there is something better or worse than average. One note. It saves clips in one minute chunks which is a bit annoying. I can't find a setting like on my other dash cam to change this. So for every hour you’re going to have to go through 60 videos to find what you need. Full disclosure there may be a setting for this but I haven’t found it yet. Cameras are high quality and have good image and contrast. They use WDR which is good for a dash cam. Front camera is 4K and rear is HD. Both are good quality. I have a big reflection from the dash of my car that affects the image - but this is particular to my car and also annoying when just looking through the windshield with your eyes. Operation seems simple. It has 4 addressable buttons below the screen, I wish it was just a touch screen but functions fine. There is a lot more to figure out with this camera but for a dash cam with all the bells and whistles - GPS, WIFI, WDR, 4K - It’s a very good deal. The form factor is good and low profile and the accessories are complete and well thought out. Note the video I include is 4K but Amazon probably downscaled and compressed it. I do recommend this as a good dash cam for most people.
