Haven't used it yet, but it arrived on time and in good condition. I plan to use it as my backup cable as these things tend to wear out and leave you hanging at the worst time. The plastic on this feels like your standard cheap plastic coating, stiff and not very rubbery. It's about the same quality as my old one that I bought locally for a lot more money, so I'm pretty satisfied with the quality for the price. Plus it's not like I'm going to be handling it a lot; I'm just going to plug it in and forget about it. It's matte black in color. I'll update my review after I get a chance to test it.

I have a standing desk that moves up and down, the headphone jack on my work monitors always buzzes. So using the headphone jack on the computer is the only enjoyable way to listen to music and podcasts, but when I stand up the buds cannot reach my ears. Using this cord I jerry-rigged an excellent setup. I used a large binder clip, clipped it to my monitors stand, and strung the end of the headphone jack cable through the metal clip. Watch some binder clip life hacks, they are pretty cool. It is easy to unhook the metal part of the binder clip to thread the top of the cord-though, then the headphones can be plugged in at the top, and are unaffected by the desk being in the sitting or standing position. Anyway, I think this cord is great, no troubles. It serves its purpose.

I needed this cable in order to extend the reach of a pair of headphones that are plugged into a mixer. I am part of a podcast/radio show that broadcasts weekly and we often host call in celebrity guests so being able to hear them clearly and without interruption is imperative. In the months I have used the cable I have had no issues whatsoever hearing my guests when they call in and I am able to have some leeway as far as length when I have the headphones on. It makes it possible to walk and move around if needed and record a podcast at the same time. The connection to the headphones remains solid and has yet to disconnect, either from the mixing board or the headphones. Very happy with this cord and feel like it was a quality investment in my show at a great price point for a shielded 6 foot extension cable.
