I got a 3ft version of this cable and it is perfect to connect a Raspberry Pi to my router. They cohabit a small space so this is the ideal length, The cable is quite thin but fairly stiff. I think the cores must be solid. In a short cable this is fine but in a longer one may be difficult to route so bear this in mind. However solid core cables are better for signal and interference. While at this length it makes no difference for longer cables it is a better solution - just watch out for the stiffness of the cable. The RJ45 plugs are decent quality with tag covers to prevent accidentally snagging and ripping off the tag. These are good quality cables and would be ideal for more permanent installations particularly in cabinets and infrastructure applications where interference etc needs to be minimised. Not quite so good for flying patch cables to laptops etc.
