The HDMI and USB Pass-Through Decora Style Wall Plate is perfect for the transition to in-wall cabling. The HDMI pass-through port includes a thin, flexible HDMI pigtail that accommodates the tight bend radius required for installations within a standard junction box. The USB pass-through provides support for passive extensions of up to five meters of total cable length, but may be used with an active USB extension solution for longer distance connections. Constructed of aircraft grade aluminum, this wall plate is designed for durability and a long life.

Make sure you are checking the USB style that you need. I have found it easier to install keystone inserts. The cables on the back are a bit cumbersome if you are going to be installing this in a single gang box.

Makes for a clean installation

I purchased three of these for various projects. In one installation the DirectTV box was to sit on a bar counter with the monitor across the room mounted in new shelving. The DirectTV box takes COAX in and HDMI out inputs. I installed one of these at the DirectTV box and another at the monitor location and used a 15' long HDMI cable to connect them. The DirectTV installer used a short HMDI cord from the box to the first one of these outlets and then I used another short HMDI cable from the second one to the monitor. The flexible cords on the back of this outlet help make the connections in narrow stud spaces. Very nice.
