it only works if one source is powered down if you 2 into one output
This products works fine for me.
This product did not work for my application. I have a LG tv and a LG home theater system. All audio signals entering the tv from my computer, xbox 360, and home theater(dvd), travel from the tv to the home theater via an digital audio connection. I tried this device to split the signal between the tv output audio to my home theater and headphones but was unable to get it to work.. Here's what did work for me. I had also bought - Orei DA21 Optical SPDIF/Coaxial Digital to RCA L/R Analog Audio Converter with 3.5mm Jack Support Headphone/Speaker Outputs- I was able to plug the digital audio cable from the tv into this and use the two outputs. One RCA (red and white) fed into the auxiliary audio input in my home theater. The other connection is for the headphone jack. Hope this helps.
Purchased this item to connect my surround sound theater system and split the optical signal to the headphone unit. Well the sound is constantly choppy even with one of the recievers off... it doesn't work. Useless.....
I'm not entirely sure if my item was defective, but... I found that if both of the devices are on (fiber optic light is lit, regardless of whether or not music is being played or not), neither of the fiber optic feeds work. If I had known that, I would not have purchased this. Hope this helps
