I bought this RJ12 6 pin cable for my sim racing rig to connect the pedals to the wheel base since my original one was too short. RJ12's with 6 pins are not as common in most households as the other RJ-type cables and this one caught me off guard. Luckily it was easy to find on here and this one came in various lengths so it ended up being just right for my setup. The cable is flat, grey and has clear plastic ends. I've already had to plug and unplug it several times and I have not seen any cracks in the plastic ends or the tabs that secure them in place. The cable also straightened out very well after a few days and is super easy to work with. When you are buying this make sure you measure out enough length so you don't put extra strain on the cable (I've made that mistake too many times)! Overall I am very satisfied with the cable quality and it does the job well!
