Great patch cable for ethernet

Back story: saw a video or read an article about replacing cables to get better speeds at the machine level, thought well maybe. I have cabling every where, but I never tested speeds at the machine level. So I did and they were slow compared to my internet speeds, and my LAN speeds should have been faster. I replaced all my cables with these, swapped 2 or 3 smaller switches for a larger one. My speeds more than doubled. My internet speeds to the computers increased, and my transfer speeds on my LAN also increased.

If you have a Gigabit connection and you're using wireless to upload photos or video, please get yourself this Cat6 cable. You will wonder why you ever used wireless if you have the ability to wire your connection to the router. Cord works great to cross my room with the wired connection.

I cut mine up into smaller cables. Now I have 10’, 6’, 3’ cat6. Note: I started adding a piece of coloured electric tape near ends, so I can quickly identify which cable are cat6 vs. Cat 5, especially as I convert from 5 to 6 (as needed).
