... At least the one I received is. "Straight through" means contact 1 on one end is connected to contact 1 on the other, contact 2 to contact 2, etc. So if you hold both ends side-by-side with locking tabs up, you will see conductors with the same color insulation in the same positions on both ends. However, even though the cable is supposedly sold by C2G (Cables To Go), the label on the bag says "legrand". Also, the bag looks "chewed up" and the Zip-lock seal was opened on arrival... I'm only giving 5 stars because the pinout is actually "straight through" as advertised. Thanks to the seller for getting that right!

This cable is titled as "Straight" which means pin 1 on one RJ11 end goes to pin 1 on the other end. Most phone cables cross-over end to end, i.e. 1->4 2->3 3->2, 4->1. However, if you want a same pin to pin cable, you want a "Straight-Thru" cable. This product is NOT a Straight-Thru cable.
