C2G 02782 DB9 M/M Serial RS232 Mini Gender Changer (Coupler)

Not much to say about this. It just does what it's supposed to.

Cables to Go is always a good product. I've bought many of their products through the years. This particular cable is male on one end with female on the other. Basically an extension cord. There many other varieties available on here. Had some funky issues with the shipping. Not sure if it was C2G or Amazon (or me). I ordered multiple variations of these cables and gender changers. The order got split into several shipments (which sometimes happens) but I ended paying more shipping than product cost for some of them. Just be careful when ordering.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I got this along with a 9-pin null-modem to go along with my usb-2-serial adapter. It makes for a very small set of tools to let me connect to various managed switches, etc. One of those things every consultant needs. Worked fine. Was small, light, and cheap.

I simply cannot get too excited about a serial cable, and even less so about a gender bender. This little device is what it says, and it does what it says it does - turns a dude cable onto a chick cable, or vice-versa. Construction is okay, seems to hold up fine. The stand-offs canbe removed and replaced as needed. Can't say anything negative about it, and the price is right.

This supplier that offered this item definitely had the lowest price we could find. After ordering and paying extra for expedited shipping, we did not see the order for almost 2 weeks - prior to, and after the Thanksgiving holiday. After contacting the supplier through Amazon, they promptly replied stating that the USPS could not locate the shipment. They had sent another order out which was received in 2 days. I have ordered many things through AMAZON and this was the only item I never received as promised. I should have contacted them sooner. After this hiccup, I would still order from them again, due to their low prices.
