Allows you to select 2-wire RS-485 or 4-wire RS-485 full-duplex operation. Selectable RS-422 operation with transmit and receive always enabled. Automatic control of the RS-485 driver, so it works without any special programming for handshake signals. Also allows the transmitter to operate the RS-232 TD signal and the receiver to operate when not transmitting. Built-in jumper switches for 2- or 4-wire operation with no external jumpers to configure. Set the operating mode with four switches. Converts using port power or power from an external 120 VAC/12 VDC power supply (sold separately). No external power is required if two RS-232 output protocol lines are available. _DELETE_
