We have bought cheap cables thinking that we are saving money and ended up pitching them in a couple months due to them not charging as efficiently or because they have yellowed near the joint. The Belkin cables are quality and worth the extra money. They have outlasted the generic amazon ones by triple the time so far

I wanted a long USB cable to power my second monitor for my portable second monitor... My laptop can't drive it and the external hard drive, and the cable that came with the monitor is way too short to use to go to the wall - forcing me to put the USB transformer block on an extension cord and... blah, blah, blah. Ordered this - it came toot sweet - and put it in service. Now the USB transformer block is hanging in the wall and my monitor works great. I would imagine I'll find other uses for this cable, USB-A to USB-C and at this length is really convenient. Plus, I'm a big fan of the build quality of Belkin products. Well worth the price. Definitely meets my need(s). Would order again in a similar situation.
