Worked on first boot! Definitely overkill for me, but it should last for years to come. Love this board with reset CMOS button and plenty of USB hubs/ PCIE slots.

I've always had a good experience with ASUS boards and this one is no different. It has lots of ports and a good feature set, especially comparing prices across other manufacturers for this generation. It's a stout board with some weight to it. Only issue I had was it's limited on air cooling due to it's VRM heatsinks. It does work just fine a NH-D15S, just have to rotate the cooler 180 degrees from its usual mounting orientation. My system hasn't had one hiccup with a 13700k, but I made sure to enforce the recommended limits and not let run all out. BIOS is pretty easy to use.

The media could not be loaded. My precious Eagle II Sabertooth died. It was a 12 yr. old build with Lian Li, Seasonic, Intel, G.Skill and nVidia...all centered around an Asus Z77 Sabertooth. That box ran 16-18 hr.s a day for 12 yrs. So when it was time for a new one, it was easy...just go with the same combo. At first I opted for the Z790 TUF, but after looking a little harder, it became apparent that this ROG H was a significantly better bang for the buck. RGB bling, M.2 heatsink, BIOS Flashback and nicely placed SATA ports, ARGB & fan headers all made for an easy, cost effective choice. The BIOS Flashback was what made the install so easy. You can update the BIOS for the latest CPU and DDR 5 before you install anything which basically insures compatibility. Yeah, there's the WIFI/LAN driver thing during OS install but SHIFT F10/OOBE\BYPASSNRO is the workaround there. I asked G.Skill about which DDR5 memory to go with...they told me that the 5600/2 channel was the most stable, so that's what I went with. Enabled XMP and it was smooth as silk. I don't know if this rig is going to be able to match my beloved Eagle II's longevity, but so far...after running 24/7 for a month, this box seems bulletproof. $2500 was my budget, I went a tad over but that's OK. It's a killer PC...fact and cool. I'm a 3/4 power user and a mid/light gamer so this rig suits me well and with the look I was going for. It idles at 30c and doesn't go over 45c no matter what I'm doing. With a 74F temp in the room, Cinebench 2024 couldn't get it over 85c. It was well packed and easy to install in the case but had some issues installing windows. It takes few seconds to boot, not sure if fast boot is enabled or how to check. 1. If you enable the Intel Rapid Storage in BIOS the NVME is recognized in Bios but not in Windows. Had to disable to install. 2. The network driver seems to be missing during W11 installation so it hangs as internet connection is required to continue (both cable and Wi-Fi). Had to use an USB hub with a RJ45 port. When windows boots up a pop-up shows up asking to install the drivers and all work after that (cable and Wi-Fi).
