My personal PC is a non updated Windows 7 that I have had for over a decade and I will ride it into the ground. Unfortunately, I have been stuck with a Windows 10 PC for work that I absolutely hate. Takes forever to be usable after boot, wonky updates and just the overall unpleasantness of the W10 environment was driving me bonkers. I had thought about the Chrome Box as a solution for a while and the only regret I have is that I didn't get it sooner. It's ready to go instantly upon start up, handles multiple tabs and streaming with ease with no janky Windows nonsense. As an added bonus, it has a Linux interface that will allow you to install non native programs like Signal. Initially, I couldn't be more pleased.

Been using ASUS Chromeboxes since gen1. Very responsive and low stress to use. I added a 16g ram chip and i never see it use more than 13gb

The Asus Chromebox works fine when I use it. It is an I5 with wireless charging. The problem I had was when the Chromebox went to sleep, all other devices on the network eventually lost internet connection. As soon as I brought the Chromebox out of sleep mode all devices reconnected. It is the funniest thing. My Acer Chromebox does not do this. I was also not very happy with the wireless charging. It was slow and the phone got very warm. My google wireless charger works much better. The router I am using is a Netgear Orbi mesh router. I also had an ethernet connection like another reviewer had with the same problem. After three weeks of trying to fix the problem I returned it to Amazon. Thank you Amazon for your return policy.

I was not able to access all of my accounts on my computer so bought this to update it; it has worked very well and I now can recover all the information I need.
