The BVK Series battery backup UPS power supply is an APC UPS designed to maintain a consistent flow of power with good surge protection to your desktop computer, peripherals, and other home and business electronics. The BVK Series offers AVR to correct voltage fluctuations, USB Charging via USB-C or USB-A ports, LED Brightness controls (via power button), auto-restart when main power recovers after a complete battery discharge, and other controls via the free PowerChute software (for PC's only; Mac OS uses native 'Energy Saver' settings).

Great Back-up

Have had this unit working 24/7 for over a year. We live in the country and have fairly regular power outages. This unit has worked flawlessly during each outage.

Not worth the money

I had to get a battery backup for a fiber optic modem/router but was in a hurry so I just went with what the installer recommended, APC. I didn't realize that the lead acid battery only has a capacity of 7 AH at 12 volts, so 84 WH. With lead acids, only about half of that is usable, so 42 WH. That will power a 20 W load for only 2 hours. In addition, by using the PowerChute software, I could monitor the battery, and it discharged in a few hours even with no load on it! It took even longer to recharge. I should have just gotten a lithium ion power bank.

Can we get some space between the plug ins?

If you have apple equipment, you know the white plug in unit will overlap the next plug in...Manufacturers need to design with purpose and that means more space between plug ins....

No more restarts created my very shot term power outages from strong spring thunder storms. I just keep on working.

charge before use...no macos support

disclaimer: I'm in the middle of dealing with called-out challenges. Maybe there are workarounds for my issues. But quite frankly this should just work... --Story-- I unpacked this thing plugged in my computer and monitors and expected to be all set. I turned on the UPS and I got a flashing light with a constant alarm. On inspection of the manual, this means the battery is already dead or has no charge. Since I already plugged it in I need to charge it completely or risk reducing the battery life. i looked into disabling the alarm while it charges but their PowerChute software only supports Windows... So worst case I may have a little alarm for ten hours... thank goodness for noise canceling headphones. I hope this isn't one of those tech instances where I think I find a decent product for the price and it would have been less of a headache to buy the more expensive version.
