APC Replacement Battery 110

I hate to disagree with the previous reviewer that this replacement battery isn't a good value and doesn't last very long. True, it's made in China, but I purchased this item in February 2014 and just in the last two weeks it has gotten old enough it doesn't hold enough charge to support the load that I've had on it all this time. It's been through countless discharge cycles due to power outages and I can't say enough good things about it. It dropped right in with no problem and after charging gave years of troublefree service. I'm ordering another one right now.

This is a direct replacement for APCRBC109 and it installed right out of the box into a BX1500LCD. The APC was installed as backup to two PC boxes, two LCD screens, and various peripherals. Total Load indicated at 150W, or less than 20% of device capacity. Battery lasted 11 months before it was unable to hold a charge. In that time, there were 3 power outages and probably a dozen "flickers." Did not last as long as warranty indicates. Typical comment I have read online is that the batteries made in China do not last as long as India or elsewhere and my experience agrees with this assertion. (This battery is made in China. The USA "assembly" is double-back tape to stick the two units together, and the jumper you see in the picture.) The original battery lasted for 4 years. The BTI model here will work for about half of the price of the genuine product, but in the long run, it is not a bargain.

It took a long while to get these batteries (4+ weeks). Howver, once they arrived, we replaced our UPS, and they are holding charge. We tested the UPS, and it keep things power-on when we pull the plug.

This battery is direct replacement for the APC battery and come complete with jumper. Once installed all the weird problems with my APC UPS cleared up.

Item as just as it was described and fit perfectly into my UPS. Very pleased to have that battery backup up and running again.
