Eneloops are hands down the best NiMH rechargeables on the market. They were originally developed by Sanyo. Panasonic was required to sell Sanyo's battery business when it bought Sanyo in 2009. However, Panasonic retained the eneloop trademark and began sourcing the batteries from the same factory - so they are still the same battery. I have been using them in my cameras seemingly forever. Before the development of Li-Ion portable charging technology, most on-the-go chargers were actually powered by AA cells. I bought one, put 4 AA eneloops in it, and gave it to my away-at-college daughter because I got tired of her response to every unsuccessful effort to reach her being "my phone died." I never heard that excuse any more. So get this: that was in 2012, and I still use those same 4 batteries in my DSLRs today in 2023. Buy yourself a multi-pack of these bad boys and a Panasonic fast charger and you'll be set for years, I promise you.

I've used these for several years now. Particularly good for external camera flashes (speedlites). They recycle faster than alkaline batteries and can be recharged twice as many times as other lithium ion batteries. I'm a fan.

I use a version of eneloop batteries in all my battery powered devices. Quick charge and long life. If you have battery powered accessories (flashlight/ remote etc) buy these and a charger and stop throwing money away on alakline batteries.

I first bought 24 of these 7 years ago and only had 3 go bad so far. I use them for all the remotes in the house and head lamp and flashlights at work among other things. One went bad a few years in. Just unlucky with that one I guess. My smart charger refused to charge 2 more a month ago. I decided to check my purchases and see how long I had had them. Incredible value for the money.
