Title says it all. These little switches are built to last. They are robust, professional, designed with simplicity in mind, and look all-business. Pair that with ease-of-use (literally plug and play), and you have, simply, the best little 1Gbit Ethernet switch out there. And it's design is pure old school electronic elegance - you know, back in the day when stuff was made better... The entire body is wrapped in metal - no gaming device plastic fantastic to be had. All business here. Traffic LEDs on the front panel, Ethernet ports on the rear, one small DC connection on the side. How much simpler can you get? :D Excellent job, D-Link. Not much to say, worked great out of the box. Main reason for buying was I needed a switch that displayed the connection speed. The description on D-Link's site shows that functionality, but they must have released a new revision that removed that feature.

I just did a direct swap with a less expensive D-Link the FiOs installers used. Also replaced all my CAT Cables with 40g Cat 8. I am amazed at the better picture quality, clarity and Load times. It’s like I was paying for 5 gig down and only useing 1.

Great little network switch. No complaints.

I bought this because I wanted something for my entertainment center that wouldn't show LEDs. Turns out there are very few switches that have this feature, but the workaround is you can slap a thin/flat refrigerator magnet on the front of it and it'll stick. I think the front of it is plastic, but the metal housing around it provides enough magnetism that it'll hold the magnet on there. In case anyone else has the same idea, yes, it works.
