Tripp Lite N202-100-BL 100 Feet Cat6 Gigabit Solid Conductor Patch Cable RJ45 M/M (Blue)

I have used these Tripp Lite cables throughout my house. They are truly the best. I currently have them run to every room and every computer connection.

All I'm going to say is there are numerous Cat5 & Cat6 cables masquerading as "Solid" on amazon and ebay THAT ARE ACTUALLY STRANDED. This one is actually solid core. Which is what you are supposed to use if you are planning to do any splicing.

This is a very long cable. I can run it from one side of my house to the other and transfer lots of files to my NAS server faster then I could if I hooked it up via Firewire 800. When connecting make sure everything in the pipeline is gigabit rated. You can check your connection status in your settings to make sure you are connecting at gigabit speeds. The difference between gigabit and regular 10/100 is huge.

I had bought a cheaper cable previously which did not work and had to return. This cable was definitely of a higher quality and I would recommend it, specially if you are going to run the cable through walls.

I purchased this CAT6 to splice up and install in-wall in my home. It was easy to crimp connectors onto, but not too easy. Solid wire, twisted pairs, and good snag-free connectors! It was a few feet more than I need and was the next-best price to 1000ft spool in a box, which was just too much length.
