The IceGem series was created by SilverStone as a line of all-in-one liquid coolers with the goal of achieving the highest cooling performance with lowest possible noise. It's water block has a scintillating diamond-cut design and a SilverStone logo plating on top with ARGB lighting under it which reflects a fine dazzling appearance. IceGem AIOs utilizes a multi-chamber pump design that can isolate hot and cold liquid channels achieving a more effective heat removal from the water block. Combined with 100% pure copper base, 0.2mm micro-channel fins, and leak-proof tubing, the IceGem's foundation ensures highest level of performance for any platform usage. The IG360-ARGB in particular includes a highly efficient 360mm radiator, three 120mm ARGB PWM fans, and an addressable RGB controller.

KEEPS COOL...but SOOO NOISY

On full load (I work as a video editor) my AMD 7960X never gets much past 62, so this thing works. The sacrifice is the sound. It's VERY WINDY in here 😆🤣. Seriously though, this thing throttles up and down and the fans spin pretty fast, so the sound is above average loudness. I'd say it's an 7.5 or 8 out of 10 for being loud, 10 being the loudest. I live with it though, what can you do. It keeps it cool. 3/5 simply for the fact it is too loud.

Rattling noise after 1 week of use

Finally, I assembled my workstation, and everything has been fine for a week or so. However yesterday I noticed the pump started making rattling noise, and today it became louder. Read on the Internet that it could be an air bubble trapped somewhere, so I tried to situate the box in all possible orientations, even upsidedown, unfortunately it didn't help. Now the return window has closed and I have to go through the standard warranty service...

Cooling is nice, looking is best

Difficult to install. Only 2 screws to anchor pump so I have doubts about full contact with CPU.

Mounting system is unacceptable.

Essential for Threadripper

Unless you're going full custom you can't get another AIO water cooler that covers the whole chip. Why is that essential? Well it's simple physics. When you're doing most things it's using at most a few of the cores and a central cooling water block makes perfect sense, and keeps temps at a nice even level because that heat is centralized as well. When rendering, however, or doing anything that actually utilizes all 24 (or more) cores it's creating heat outside that central area that just doesn't get dissipated much at all. I tried setting after setting, never bothering to ever even use the dynamic overclocking, let alone try and really push this thing past 4.2ghz. It would stop rendering after just a few min unless I was using the graphics to render, which it still pushed it up over 90C. I tried every setting, I tried reseating the cooler with different thermal grease. It just can't happen. I get this thing after 7 months of not being able to utilize my freaking $8k computer and bam. I'm rendering all day, albeit at 89C, but it's doing it, and it's at a motherboard overclock of 5% and my memory is, for whatever reason, able to run at 4000mhz instead of just 3600. I'm not sure if that's to do with the temps or that I updated and went through two days of hell trying to get it to work again.. Whatever. This thing is finally able to open up, simply because the cooling block covers the whole processor. Easy peazy, except. For the lights. The lights are supposed to hook up with the mystic lighting and it's just not doing it. So I knocked it one star for installation ease. All in all so far it's drastically better than the other two AIO systems I tried before this, it actually works with the Threadripper. So in my humble opinion if you have $400 or more to spend on a custom cooling loop, for the love of god do it, this thing puts out heat better than my space heater. Otherwise I believe this is your only option until they start making more brands that account for the size of the die.
