Noble Locks TZ08T Low Profile Wedge Lock with Flat Key

Before buying this or any laptop locking product, make sure you have the correct standard. We discovered at the last moment that the older Kensington lock would not work with our new Dell laptops. We bought the "wedge" lock. This product is a very light duty locking system using a key. Anyone very determined with some time and the right tools could defeat this security. But, it should stop sticky finger snatches. We bought three and one plastic bag had the cable lock but no keys! Amazon got a replacement pronto and I just dropped off the original product at a Kohls for a no cost return. Our set was based upon a double sided key that inserts and then when you press it in, releases the wedge lock. Seems to work just fine. You can not apparently ask for multiple sets that use the same key - each key only opens that one lock. Two keys are provided. We are using these security cable locks to keep laptops from wandering off from a hotel ballroom. They will be attached to a heavy duty equipment stand. Of course someone could walk off with the stand and laptop, but that would be awkward.

The wedge lock did not fit my Inspiron 15. It has a noble lock system but this cord would not fit in. Seems like the locking mechanism wouldn’t go down far enough to get it deep enough into the slot. Even forcing it in didn’t work. Will go with a Kensington instead. --Updated. The lock did not work on my Dell Inspiron, but worked just fine on my Dell Precision, which makes me think that it's an issue with the Dell Inspiron. Still 4/5 stars because a noble lock should work on a noble lock slot.

Que Mal que Dell cambie el orificio ya que existen candados en general para cualquier laptop y nos obligan a invertir en este producto, que esta muy bien en calidad pero me llego sin bolsita.

Llegó sin la bolsa para guardar el cable, considerando que el precio es elevado por el tipo de modelos que lo requiere.

El candado funciona perfectamente, muy ligero y manipulable. Lo mejor que tiene es que incluye un soporte para cables, que evita que se roban la fuente de alimentación de la portátil
