KINESIS Freestyle2 USB Keyboard for Mac (9" Standard Separation), Black Standard Separation (9 in)

This was too big for my hands and therefor not comfortable. If you're a larger person it may work well but not for me unfortunately.

I don't like the actual keys at all very mushy had used Apple keyboards prior. That said my wrist pain stopped so I am using mushy keys.

It took me a few months to get used to the way I need to type on this keyboard. I have had it for more than a year and it just hit me how much I like it, how much easier it is to type on this than on any other keyboard that I have ever owned. It really needs the accesory kit to be fully cofortable, but it is great.

A bit of a learning curve as the B is the on the opposite side I used to use, but other than that being able to spread and fan the two halves of the keyboard into an ergonomic position has saved me from a lot of wrist pain.

I've used Kinesis Freestyle 2's for years to change my typing and keyboard habits (angles, hand positions etc.), and cut down on the amount of cramping and wrist pain I work up (typing all day, every day, for 30 years, takes a toll). I had been using the WIndows version on my Macs (since the majority of devices I was connecting to through different docks and KVM's were windows), but since I now spend more time on MacOS machines, I decided to "treat myself" with the Mac-specific version. I also looked as Kinesis' newest edge/gaming and Pro models as well, (with all the shiny RGB stuff on gaming, and programmable keyboards, mechanical keys on both), but I didn't need another light (or distraction) on my desk, and since I'm at home in zoom meetings a lot, the loudness of mechanical keys (as compared to these membrane keys) wasn't going to be a benefit. Programmable would have been nice, but if I have to annoy everybody in meetings with louder keys (even the Cherry MX silent ones are pretty loud), forever, or swap keyboards when I switch machines, I'd rather do the later. The MacOS version having additional USB ports (something the Windows version lacks) is a definite benefit, too, since it allowed me to move my touch-to-activate Yubikey right to where my hands were, and free up a port I was using for my wireless mouse dongle (Contour Unimouse, another excellent "change hand pitch and angles device). I'm still getting used to the remapping of command-to-windows (it's in a different position), so there is some adjustment time (if muscle memory for the Windows version has been acquired), but overall a much better experience, only a few hours in.
