I was using this cable in order to connect my headphones to the TV. The first time I used it I thought there might be something wrong with my headphones so I decide to use a second pair of earphones. The problem persisted, whenever the headphone cable was inserted into the female part I this cable, sound was nowhere to be found. I would have to pull the cable out to a certain extent in order to try to get some sound and eventually would end up getting sound on one side of the headphones. I ended up cutting the terminals and buying new ones at a local store and soldering the cable. This was the only solution to the problem.

I'm using this cable along with my IR emitter. I installed two of these into my walls when I was running my hdmi, surround sound, etc, to my basement to give my living room a nice clean look. I'm only using one cable now but I wanted to future proof as to cut into my walls a second time. My IR emitter never misses a beat and all communication from the "eye" is running through this cable. FYI, I tried to "test" the cable using my iphone and some headphones and it sounded like an Edison recording from a 100 years ago. I think maybe the configuration of the connections and how it connects to the iphone is causing this. I'm not really sure, but for the IR emitter... can get better than perfect.

I thought I was buying rca cables, when it said "stereo cable" I assumed it would work with my yamaha stereo inputs. It doesnt. I suppose I have to build my own rca cables because i need 50 footers.

First, the product itself is probably not worth the 1 star, but what i received was. Rather han a Female/Male 50 foot cable, I got a 25 foot Male/Male cable. After further inspection, it looks someone put the wrong label on the package (actually put it over the right one). The worst part was I had to return and reorder rather than just exchange. All in all Amazon waived the shipping fees, so thank you Amazon. Let's hope the replacement is not mislabeled too.

i only gave three stars because of the price, and i am not considering the fact that it took 3 weeks to get. i unrolled the cable and found a place that appears to have been bumped with a grinder or something; and both white and red tiny wires inside were exposed. it was close to the male end which is pretty much staying where it is, as i am carrying the female end. i cut and soldered the wires back together and it works fine. i am only using it as an extension cord for a sansa clip mp3 player to an ipod type powered speaker at the pool so it really was less trouble to fix it, for me at least. i already had my soldering stuff out from fixing another cable from my stereo. i was actually surprised it carried the signal that far, (but the clip is a screamer).
