This doesn't support macOS (per support). It supports iOS, Android, and Windows only. I installed the Creative app on both iOS and Android and via blutooth and it had no trouble finding it. But with iOS and Android neither offered EQ or bass boost options. This soundbar looks nice and the remote is great to have and lets you easily switch between inputs (what I bought it for), but audio in macOS is locked at 16-bit, 48000 Hz and no EQ or other settings to improve the sound.

Great for PC. Decent sound. But, there is a two-digit, seven-segment LED in the very center of the sound bar that conveys power status, volume, and audio source. Per the manual, this can never be turned off completely. It dims, but even in its dimmed state, I find it to be a distraction and eyesore. I am not sure why Creative couldn't have added a timeout so that the display goes off after 5-10 seconds of inactivity.

I bought this and decided to return it the day after getting it. It sounds "OK". I had a cheaper Creative Stage SE soundbar (without the subwoofer), and this newer GS5 sounds about the same, maybe SLIGHTLY better, but its hard to tell the difference between the 2. So if it was based on sound alone, its a near toss up. MAYBE i'd give this the slightest edge, but it isn't even $20 worth of an edge. The big problem is the LED readout in the center of the soundbar. It doesn't ever go off and you can't turn it off. Now on the older Creative Stage SE, there is a very small led dot on the far right side of the soundbar. Not noticable at all to me. But on this new one, there are large letters or symbols that are always on in the middle of the soundbar. Change a setting? They are there. Change the volume, Still there. Leave it alone, they don't dis-appear, they stay lit all the time and they are large. When below the monitor, your eyes are drawn to them because they never go off and its annoying. Even when the soundbar is powered down, unless you unplug it the LED lights still are lit up. In a totally black room (like a bedroom at night) you will notice it unless you unplug the unit. Not sure who made the decision to have the led readout always on, but I see no benefit to it and its an immediate "return" for me once I read the instructions and searched online and found no way they can be turned off. A potentially decent product (if it was $10 less) but ruined by the front facing, always on, bright led readout.
