Kensington Surface Pro 9 Case - Rugged (K96541WW), Black

This is touted as a case that won't overheat your SurfacePro, but I've been using it on my SurfacePro everyday for the last 2.5 months and when my SurfacePro is plugged in while I use it, it heats up in the case. I've begun taking it out of the case when I'm using it while it's plugged in, and the SurfacePro cools down, but the same corner broke on my cover as another customer said broke on their theirs. I thought it's because my SurfacePro fell off the small table I use it on at school (on a carpeted floor) last week, but now I wonder if it's because I've removed it a few times when it's overheating. I won't be purchasing it again as it didn't even last 3 months, let alone the 4 years I hoped it would last.

Ordered in April. This case either sits on my desk or backpack. Never dropped this once. The plastic separated from the rubber corner. Would not recommend for the cost and length for how long it lasted.

I bought the case in April and it broke in August. Traveled with it about 8 days a month. Overpriced for what it is and how long it lasted.

Just bought it an popped it on. It doesnt feel super secure, but I was relieved that it works with the Type Cover keyboard attached. Some reviews said otherwise.

It is well designed for the job it intends to do, but after using it, I'm trying to figure out the $50 price point. It's not very much material or super-premium material at that. They have got to be making a killing on each unit sold. The only reason I would still suggest it is because I think it's the best designed case for specifically what I needed after my last Surface suffered an untimely death due to a poorly positioned impact with a hard corner on a shelf. Seriously, another company could make a ton of money selling the same thing for half the price. Just there's not another one on the market that's similar enough.
