I used this unit to mount my brand new baby - a Panasonic 65 inch plasma which was quite heavy. It's actually straight forward to install and one of the easier things I had to do in order to get the tv on the wall. (Fishing wire through the walls and installing a power outlet behind the tv were comparatively harder). There were only two wrinkles to installing this: first, in spite of using a leveler, the tv looked ever-so-slightly askew. Discovered after that it was actually the wall/ceiling above it that was not level - go figure. Secondly, once you have the base plate up and you are hanging the tv on it, things can be kind of tricky. You really need two people because it is a little challenging to get the hooks attached to the tv to hang just right on the mount. You have some degree of flexibility as far as how far to the right or left you "shift" the TV when it is hanging - meaning you don't have to center the mount exactly. Nonetheless, you are limited in how far you can shift it right or left so as always, measure twice, drill once as they say.

I purchased this wall mount for my 52" LCDTV and it worked perfectly. Because it is Universal, the mount brackets pretty much should fit any LCD TV. Thickness of mount that gets placed on wall is open so you should be able to find a stud on your wall easily (some mounts have more metal so you're limited to where you can mount the wall piece on the wall). This mount also allows you to mount your TV very close to the wall. This can pose a problem (like it did for me) in that I needed another 1 inch because the cables that go into my TV stick out (my connectors are NOT at the bottom of the TV). I had to use additional washers (9 washers) and the longer screws in order to give me additional space away from the wall. Hope that makes sense. In any case, the wall mount is strong enough to hold my LCD TV. Great price too! Thanks Amazon.

I researched this one up the wazo till I went crazy! First I figured out I only needed a flat mount and not the one with the tilt feature. Our plasma was in a room 12ft wide, so you can see it from all angles flat. The next critia (for me) was to have it as close to the wall as possible. It looks a lot better this way. Sleek and unassuming. I came accross this Peerless model and it looked simple and had a low profile fit to the wall. The product had free shipping and actually came the next day! It was well packaged, with instructions covering all installation types. The best thing is, it comes with ALL the nuts and bolts, you won't be running out to home depot for anything. It included an up-to-date comprehensive list of TV's and which bolts/washers to use. My Sony 42" plasma was listed and we've had it for a couple of years now. It took a couple of hours to do a proper install, make sure you measure and level it correctly, the hardest part was getting a friend to come over and lift on the TV! This is the mount to get if you want a slick low profile look!!

A good no frills wall mount for your flat screen. Good, heavy construction. Plenty of hardware and excellent directions for mounting. Finish was also good, no bare metal or unfinished surfaces. Only horizontal adjustability, but good enough for most applications.
